Serving Peoria, Tazewell, Woodford, Marshall, Putnam, Stark, McLean, Dewitt, LaSalle, Livingston and Rock Island Counties

OUR MISSION

Inspired by Gospel values and in the tradition of its patron saint, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a Catholic lay volunteer organization that leads people to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are lacking resources and suffering. Members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul are keenly aware that poverty, suffering and loneliness are present for many in our community. We strive to not only meet the immediate needs of those we serve but also seek to collaborate with others to address the causes of poverty.

We are funded by donations from our local parishes serving our neighbors regardless of race, origin, religion, or gender.  We recognize it takes courage to ask for help, and we are humbled by the courage of those who seek our assistance.

Welcome!

We are one of the largest charitable organizations in the world (ssvpusa.org). Our Society offers a variety of programs and services to the needy and suffering, including, but not limited to disaster relief, education and mentoring, food pantries, clothing, housing, and utility assistance.
